I suppose I'm partial because he's my son, but this guy makes my heart quiver. The dimples, those lips, floppy eyelashes, knobby knees, and especially the way he grabs my cheeks and exclaims "awww, you're so cute!"...I love it all. I miss that little baby, but love the boy he's growing to be. Happy 2nd birthday sweet Grayson!
I just a few short months my little man will be turning 2!!! I kind of stopped taking the monthly age progression pictures a while back, because...well, I am good at taking the actual picture and really BAD about doing anything with them. I have so many pictures to edit, organize and print that I can't even tell you. In all honesty, if there is one picture of Grayson in a photo album, I'd be surprised. There, truth is out.
I decided to photograph this little critter today because this is how old Addison was when Grayson was born. Addison is at school so we had the perfect one on one opportunity!
Halloween was a BLAST this year! Not that it hasn't been in years past, but this year it was just so great to hang out with the kids while they went from house to house. They were SO into it. Addison pretty much had the hang of it last year, but this year she was showing Grayson the ropes and it didn't take him long to get the hang of it. They didn't want to stop!
Once Addison made up her mind that she was going to be Cinderella, she never changed it. I couldn't believe it. These days though, if it doens't have a princess on it, she's not interested! Grayson loves Nemo (or Me-mo as he calls it) so his costume was easy! Too CUTE!
What amazing weathe we are having here! Yes, we've been getting a ton of rain, but on the days it doesn't rain, we get these incredibly beautiful days like sunday.
If you're wondering why only one picture of Addison...this child is super fast these days. Super fast at avoiding the camera. I have about 50 pictures of her from this day...49 of them are her looking away.
He's still a baby, but only by a thread. Each day this little guy has been filling my eyes with tears I refuse to let fall. He's getting so big....so fast. What happened to my little baby? I refuse to believe that my tiny, 6lb 1oz baby boy, born 3 weeks early is nearly 19 months old. But, when I look at these pictures from this weekend I can't help but take a big gulp, sigh, smile and know that although he may not be 6 lbs anymore, he will ALWAYS be my baby boy.
One of the best inventions, in my opinion, is the sugar free popsicle. A great after dinner treat. Go outside, get messy and come in for your BATH!!! Here are a few pictures of the kids' most recent after dinner treat.
We spent a few weeks in limbo while waiting to close on our new house. A furnished, two bedroom apartment, with washer and dryer in the unit. It was fine. Just fine. The atmosphere was great...it was young and hip, with great restaurants all within a few minutes walk. They had Salsa concerts in the circle right out front of our unit and although we didn't go down and participate, we had a lovely evening each saturday night eating at the local Addison Circle restaurants and listening to the music. Down the street a bit there were these fountains and wading pools. At first we thought they were just for looks, but it turns out people do let their children play in them. We took the kids one afternoon and although the battery on my camera died at the worst possible time, I was able to get a few pics of this great area.
Well, it was really the second first day of preschool because I was so worried about being late, I forgot to take pictures on the real first day! Addison's school is called Fingerprints and it is WONDERFUL!! She goes 2 days a week from 9-2:30 and she LOVES IT! She was so psyched last week to be going to "real" school! She plans her outfits, right down to the panties and lays them out just so, so she'll be all ready in the morning. They have "quiet time" at Fingerprints, so Addison is even allowed to bring her "ba" (blanket) and she thinks that is so cool!
We met in Annapolis, Maryland and married in May, 2004. In May, 2006 we were blessed with our daughter, Addison Clare and 21 short months later our prince, Grayson Norwood completed our family.
